Last Wednesday, Raid Force One beat back down the wormy mama, Drest’agath (who knew, it’s female? ๐คท) This officially makes them 8/12 mythic! There are no photos or video of the kill, thanks RF1, nice job. Losers.

On Wednesday, Raid Force One defeated the purple-murple dragon, Vexiona ๐ฒ! This officially makes Raid Force One 7/12 mythic, leaving Drest’agath, Il’gynoth, and Ra-den left before the big baddies at the end. Sadly, we forgot to get a screenshot of our kill OR a video ๐ญ. I blame our hunters, mages, and especially Pandathrall – he definitely 100% threw a couple of our pulls but his sacrifice is a sacrifice for the kill. Stay tuned for more updates and maybe a kill video!
After many strategic ball slappings and wipes, Raid Force One learned how to swallow (I had to) – defeating Dark Inquistor Xanesh on mythic difficulty! The sweat inducing encounter is extremely tight in that if any one ping-pong void orb rotation is failed, it’s a guaranteed wipe… and it happens 4 TIMES ๐ฑ! Not to boot, there is an add the spawns any time the ball is redirected. A 3-4 person interrupt rotation is ALSO needed as it spam casts an AoE fear, yikes! Here is a kill video, sponsored by Prisonpurse, our resident fire mage!
With DIX down, RF1 goes into Vexiona, the twilight dragon mama ๐ who sold her soul to the void for power. You may remember her from a questline in Twilight Highlands to upgrade the Crucible of Flame essence where she attacked Alexstraza and Kalecgos. There she tried to subjugate the Red Dragonflight but ultimately failed due to our interference. Now we find her stationed in Ny’alotha on the platform above DIX. Some notable differences between this encounter and the heroic one is that there is a new add that spawns that mass grips everyone to it. And in the final phase, there is a copy of Vexy that performs her intermission void breath mechanic ๐!
RF1, now 6/12 mythic progression, is staying on pace with other competitive 2-night weekly guilds. Follow us here for more progression updates and future events!
“After just one night of progression,” Raid Force One took Shad’har, the void pupper, for a walko AND had enough raid to burn the entire house down with Hivemind inside ๐ฅ. As such with my “prt sc” photos, they come with delightful raid markers, health bars, and this time flying cows! Well done, Tauren ๐ฎ, well done.
Now 5/12 mythic, RF1 starts exploring the world of over the counter prescription pills and professional ping pong. Yes, you read that right. Xanax, the Dark Sleepytime Medicine ๐ and Ball Slapper Extraordinaire, is the next encounter they’ll be facing. (Yes, we know it’s Xanesh but Blizzard named this boss this way and the opportunity presented itself ๐ so…).
While the encounter appears similar to the heroic version, there are many more challenges. The ball must be navigated through narrower pathways and every time the ball is touched, it spawns an add at that location ๐ฑ! And to make matters worse, an interrupt rotation involving 9 players must be performed, yikes! During the encounter, the ball must follow all of these pathways at some point (and subsequent add spawns) in no particular order – thatโs a lot of โmusts!โ
Does RF1 have what it takes to slap so many balls โฝ? We’ll find out tonight! …Make sure you blame hunters and healers for missed ball slaps, it’s the only right thing to do even when they’re not assigned to do it ๐.
February is here and love is in the air ๐… for killing mythic bosses, HUEHUEHUE! On Tuesday, Raid Force One defeated the chiseled centaur officially making them 3/12 mythic! It’s been only two weeks now since mythic was unlocked and they’ve already progressed through a quarter of it. Here is another butchered group photo of our kill (minus the boss because he despawned THAT fast ๐คฃ)! Also, thank you for the beautiful DPS tears ๐ง, your competitive spirit is now immortalized in “I LOST TO THROW.”
With Maut down, RF1 is pushing into Hivemind. The fight itself isn’t much different from heroic difficulty, however everything hits substantially harder. All Aqir Darters ๐ฆ must be dealt with quickly, as well as the Ravager spawn. The fight is very reminiscent of the Queen’s Court in that there is a lot of priority target switching while also observing lethal mechanics. I think the big take-away from this encounter will be “DODGE ALL THE ROLLY POLLIES ๐” and “BURN ALL THE (RIGHT) THINGS ๐ฅ!” This fight is a fire mage’s dream come true!
RF1 will continue mythic progression next week now that they consider the first two bosses as farm. Tune in to our streamers on Tuesday and/or Wednesday and until then, Taliesen and Evi… Gingertail out ๐ฆ!
Last night Raid Force One defeated mythic Wrathion, the Black Emperor AND The Prophet Skitra ๐ฅณ! Surprisingly, of the two encounters Skitra was the easier one. It took the team over twenty pulls to bring down the black dragon while Skitra only took four attempts! Here is a kill video of Wrathion ๐ from Prisonpurse’s point of view:
And here is a kill video of Skitra, the Prophet of Discord-ant Comms! Point of view provided by Sooshi:
While we forgot to take a kill picture of Wrathion, we did manage to take one with Skitra! Don’t mind my terrible picture taking, i.e. the raid markers and a very obvious health bar ๐คฃ.
Raid Force One continues mythic progress and heroic reclears. Look for our streamers on Twitch or join the guild to see the latest news!
On Thursday, heroic N’zoth was reoriginated by the Raid Force One team in a tense encounter. With half the raid dead at the last 5%, it was uncertain if they were going to get it but much like the Arthas fight, the boss is actually “dead” at roughly 2.5-3% health left. The entire team gets corrupted by tentacle daddy’s madness ๐ง, drawing them in so that he may consume the power from the Heart of Azeroth and take over the Chamber of the Heart… finally serving his ultimate purpose – the corruption of Azeroth and the rise of the Black Empire eternal ๐ฆ. Unbeknownst to him, Magni, M.O.T.H.E.R., and the player use the Hearth of Azeroth as a the final pinpoint of N’zoth’s location in Ny’alotha. They redirect the force of the Reorgination Array from Uldum through the Chamber of the Heart and the player’s neck blasting him into oblivion ๐ฅ. Is he truly gone or is a fragment of him now lingering in the missing dagger, Xal’atath? Maybe in Shadowlands we’ll find out!
With N’zoth defeated, Raid Force One is now 109th world, 62 region, and 8th on Mal’ganis to have cleared the full heroic raid ๐ฅณ. With mythic difficulty starting next week, things are looking very promising for RF1. Good luck on your progress and if you’re reading this and interested in applying to their team or our weekend team, go here!
Here are two PoV kill videos we’d like to share with you, enjoy!
